Anonymous asked: Hi! :) Have been recently introduced (liking it so far!) to your blog by a friend who I also work on a blog with, and from a writing point of view, do you still feel like the things you write about are strictly your own opinions and expressions? Or do you sometimes feel a little pressure (now that you have a good following) to talk about shit that may not necessarily be what you are about, just to keep your audience interested? Am having this little conflict with my own writing.. any thoughts?
Hey there. Glad you’re enjoying the blog!
It can be tricky, I do feel a bit of pressure to write about certain things, not because my audience might want to read it but because people have asked me to blog about them. Basically, I write about things I like. If I don’t like it, I won’t write about it. Otherwise it’s like putting your name to something you don’t agree with. If I were you, I’d keep things ‘on brand’. Don’t write about things you’re not about or that don’t relate to what you’re into. At the end of the day you want to be proud of what you’re producing, right?
